PHYSICAL THERAPIST BIO

Michele Pasqualetto, BS, MOT, OTR/L, CHT, has been practicing in the specialty of upper extremity rehabilitation for over 19 years. Her focus and specialty is in rehabilitation of the hand and upper extremity injuries and disorders. Michele has a special interest in the treatment of both adults and children with Erb’s Palsy / Brachial Plexus Injuries. Michele earned her specialization as a Certified Hand Therapist CHT in 2007 after working at both Beth Israel Medical Center and NYU Langone’s Hospital for Joint Diseases (RUSK Rehabilitation), and training with some of the most highly regarded hand therapists, orthopedic and plastic surgeons in the country. Michele has been published in the Hand Journal and has co-authored a chapter in the Hand Clinics book on Intrinsics of the Hand. She is a seasoned speaker who has been invited to speak both nationally and internationally and teaches as an adjunct professor at Touro and Hunter College. Michele, along with her colleagues, sponsor the Annual Lorna Ramos Conference on the Treatment and Management of Brachial Plexus Injuries to educate other therapists, physicians and health care providers in the treatment and management of Brachial Plexus, hand and nerve injuries. Michele’s vision for Hand Therapy NYC is to provide specialized, high quality and professional rehabilitation services with a personal touch that is currently missing from larger institutions. One on one attention during every session is a priority for the patient recovering from an injury and getting them back to doing what they love and life live hands-on!

Nidhi Patel graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in 2015 with a Bachelors in Health Science. In 2017, Nidhi graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with a Masters in Occupational therapy and fell in love with specialty of Hand Therapy after her internship at Motion PT in New York City. After graduation, Nidhi was fortunate enough to land an Occupational Therapist – Hand Therapy position at one of the top hospital based outpatient rehabilitation clinics in NJ where she treated a variety of different conditions in the field of orthopedics, neurology, oncology, and work conditioning. While practicing in NJ, Nidhi has worked alongside prominent hand surgeons in the Central and South regions of the state to provide quality care to her patients. Nidhi is excited about providing holistic care which mainly consists of the attending to her client’s needs through personalized therapy services. She is excited to be a part the expert and diverse team at Hand Therapy NYC.

Katie graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a minor in Biology. After graduation, she worked as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry Department. While there, she fell in love with Occupational Therapy and began exploring the different settings it has to offer. She was offered a position at Hand Therapy NYC as the Patient Care Coordinator and there she developed an interest in the upper extremity. She then received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University, completing clinical rotations at New York Presbyterian and Project Renewal. Katie is passionate about providing comprehensive and individualized care to her clients. She is excited to be a part of the Hand Therapy NYC team.
