Erica Herrmann

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Erica was born and raised in Haddonfield, New Jersey, who ventured out for educational and athletic careers. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from High Point University in North Carolina in 2012 while competing in the high jump at the D1 level as a member of High Point’s Track and Field team. This is where her passion grew greater for physical therapy with multiple injuries she sustained while competing in track and field. She continued to move farther away from home to Miami, Florida where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine -Miami Campus in 2019. In Miami, she met her current boyfriend and decided to follow him out West and couldn’t have made a better decision. She is excited for all of the hiking, camping and snowboarding adventures. She has a strong passion for orthopedic injuries in all age groups, so she is able to get people back to all of the outdoor adventures that the Vail Valley has to offer.

Philipe Setton

Masters of Science in Physical Therapy

Philipe is a former Brazilian soccer player who was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After reaching the professional soccer level he decided to pursue a career in Rehab and Sports Sciences. His passion for human physiology and movement motivated him to earn his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology. In addition, he is a certified manual therapist, pilates instructor, personal trainer and movement specialist. Philipe has over 10 years of experience as a Physical Therapist and he believes movement is an essential part of life. His career in the US started in 2014 when he moved to New York City. There, he worked in a variety of orthopedic settings for about 5 years. Finally, Philipe found Colorado and the mountains where he has been living since 2019. Philipe loves to hike, climb, and visit the local breweries. His new challenge is to learn snowboarding this winter.

Abigail Youngen

Abby is a Virginia native from Fairfax Station, just west of Washington DC. She earned her undergraduate degree in Health and Exercises Science from Bridgewater College, while competing on the women's swim team. She and her fiancé then moved to Miami where she graduated from the University of St. Augustine with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Abby practices yoga and pilates, often incorporating them into her therapy style. She enjoys working with patients who have an orthopedic or over use injury, neuromuscular conditions, or pediatric conditions. Abby welcomes the opportunity to work with all age groups. She utilizes a whole body approach which includes manual therapy techniques along with therapeutic exercises and patient education. By teaching her patients how to strengthen their entire body, she empowers them to take control of their therapy and reach their goals in the clinic and at home. Abby and her fiancé Austin have decided to make Colorado their new home. They love to ski/snowboard, hike, camp, and spend time outside with their husky Bonnie. Abby is very excited to adventure and experience all that Vail Valley has to offer, and serve its community.

Sara Manwiller

Sara is a Virginia native who moved to Colorado in 1995. She earned her undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine at the University of Virginia and her Masters in Physical Therapy at the Medical College of Virginia. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Kinesio Taping Practitioner. In addition, she is an Ayurvedic Health Consultant, trained at the Chopra Center University in California. Sara specializes in Orthopedic Manual Therapy including spinal manipulation and Trigger Point Dry Needling, as well as treatment of sports injuries, Women’s Health issues and TMJ problems. Sara enjoys the challenge of figuring out complicated patients. She believes in making sure each patient plays an active role in their own recovery because “the only way you are going to be ‘fixed” is to own your problems and be a part of the solution.” Sara opened Jointworx Physical Therapy and Massage at the Edwards location in 2004. She lives and plays in Edwards with her two children. Sara stays active throughout the year with biking, yoga, snowboarding, and skate-skiing.
