imgAdam Beadenkopf

Experienced PT practicing full time since 2000. Board Certified in Orthopedics, I am also certified in the Mckenzie Method which is also known as MDT. While I treat equally well all parts of the physical body, I am an avid athlete and have enjoy working with athletic injuries and performance. Opened private practice with Doug Essenberg in 2007, we are dedicated to one-on-one individualized care. We now have two other highly trained therapists. We do not utilize assistants or aides. All treatment is provided by a physical therapist. We are an evidence based practice focusing on patient education and empowerment, while eliminating treatments that increase cost to patient and have been shown to be ineffective. Any patient that comes to us does not have to share their time with any other patient. Personally, I am married with three children. I love the outdoors, camping, and athletics.

Doug is a Michigan native who graduated with a B.A. from Aquinas College. While working in marketing for a rehabilitation company specializing in transitional living for people with brain injuries, Doug found his calling. Intrigued with the way the human body functioned, he decided to change careers. In 2000, Doug graduated with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University. Since then, he has been working in the outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting, specializing in manual therapy. A desire to provide high-quality, individualized treatment and rehabilitation led Doug and his business partner, Adam Beadenkopf, to formulate a plan for a more fully-integrated form of physical therapy care—the type of care you receive at Kentwood Physical Therapy. Doug enjoys the benefits of an active lifestyle: He loves backpacking, canoeing, camping, running, golfing, and playing hockey. Married to Michelle, they are proud parents of two daughters, Ellie and Cecelia.
