Moussia Krinsky-Raski

imgMoussia Krinsky-Raski

Areas of Expertise Upper Extremity Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Rehabilitation. Fabrication of custom splints for hand, wrist, and elbow. Sports Injuries Pre and Post Operative Rehabilitation Moussia specializes in the treatment of orthopedic and soft tissue injuries of the upper-extremity and is well-trained in the fabrication of custom orthoses of the elbow, wrist, and hand. She treats a variety of diagnosis including those sustained following a fall, overuse and sports-related injuries. Moussia graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2014. There, she was awarded the Masters Project Award for her educational videos depicting effective strategies to improve cultural competency among health practitioners. As an OT, Moussia prides herself on designing therapeutic activities and home exercise programs that are functional and client-centered. Moussia is a member of the Lubavitch Hasidic community of Crown Heights and speaks both Hebrew and Yiddish. A born-and-bred local, she enjoys practicing yoga and honing her Pilates skills on the innovative megaformer at the SLT studio on Flatbush Avenue. Moussia can also be found commuting along Prospect Park West on her bright blue bike. Why did you want to become an occupational therapist? As an OT, I have the ability to help people of all ages and abilities to do the things they need and want to do. I think hands are really interesting and using them is what makes us human. While PTs get you going, it’s the OT that gets you doing. In this area of practice, I can be “hands on” in helping my patients be the best they can be. This is very individualistic and each treatment is designed specifically for each patient. The rehab environment is fun and dynamic, making every therapeutic journey special.

Lacey Salberg

Areas of Expertise Pre and Post Operative Rehabilitation Sports Injuries Pre and Post Natal Rehabilitation Lacey Salberg completed her bachelor’s degree in Public Health at Tulane University in New Orleans, where she developed a foundation in injury prevention, as well as a love for jazz music. After college, Lacey became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and taught a high school fitness, nutrition, and mental resilience curriculum in the NYC education system. She later followed her passion and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Rutgers University, where she received the “outstanding research and scholarship award,” for her presentation at the International Symposium of Adapted Physical Activity in South Korea. At Rutgers, Lacey gained clinical experience in orthopedic, neurological, and cardiothoracic ICU settings. Lacey attributes her love for human movement to the 15 years she spent competing in USA Gymnastics. Through sport, she developed an innate sense of body awareness and creative exercise techniques that she incorporates into her individualized treatment sessions. Gymnastics taught Lacey what she believes is the core principle of PT – that having control over your body gives you autonomy over your life. Lacey is always refining her manual therapy skills and hopes to complete a series of Maitland courses, as well as a pelvic floor specialization in the near future. She is proud to be part of the Physical Therapy profession and is dedicated to providing the highest quality of evidence based care.
