Betsy Silleck Thiel
Betsy has been working in the physical therapy field for nearly 35 years. She graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She then move to Indiana and began her career and gained experience in Pediatrics, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. Over a period of twelve years Betsy held various clinical and supervisory positions while gaining experience in out-patient orthopedic care until she decided to open her own practice servicing the Lowell community of North West Indiana. Betsy’s practice initiated an extensive Workers’ Compensation Program after she completed the Matheson Residency Programs in FCE and Work Conditioning and provided the Lowell community access to Aquatic Therapy in the Hydro-worx pool. In 2004, Betsy resumed post graduate work in order to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine, where she graduated in 2006.
Angela began her career as a physical therapist assistant after graduating with her Associate’s degree in 2000. Finding an immediate passion in outpatient orthopedics she then went on to graduate from The University of Findlay with her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2006. Her postgraduate Doctorate degree was earned from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2020. She is Astym certified, a Credentialed Clinical Instructor and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Angela has advanced training in the treatment of the spine and extremities using the McKenzie Method of mechanical diagnosis and treatment (Cert MDT). She is a Certified Trigger Point Dry Needling Specialist (CMTPT) credentialed through Myopain Seminars. Additional educational achievements include specialized training from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Institute for the treatment of incontinence and the musculoskeletal components of urogynecological pain syndromes.
Kristine attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL for her post-graduate work where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. Her special interest in athletes stems from her personal experience as a collegiate swimmer at the University of Tampa, where Kristine achieved 3-time All-American status, a National Championship Title, and Academic All-District First Team. Her undergraduate degree was in Exercise Science/Allied Health. She has been practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting since receiving her DPT in 2017. She has a special passion for athletes, but enjoys all orthopedic patients. She has continued to expand her knowledge and expertise by attending continuing education courses including: Running Gait Analysis, Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE), and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR). Becoming Dry Needling Certified and furthering her experience with different treatment approaches are her focus for 2019.
Caitlyn attended Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL for her post-graduate work where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. She has been practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting since graduating. Caitlyn has a special interest in the outpatient orthopedic setting, including a passion for athletes including softball players and cheerleaders, stemming from her years of participating in both sports and coaching high school varsity cheerleading at Illiana Christian High School. She has continued to expand her knowledge and expertise by attending Mulligan courses related to the sacroiliac joint and pubic symphysis, advances in shoulder rehabilitation, becoming IMPACT certified, and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) certified. She has also begun the process to become McKenzie certified.
