Erin is an experienced speech therapist who specializes in treating speech and language disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders (including dysphagia, video fluoroscopic swallow studies and modified barium swallow studies), fluency and articulation disorders, apraxia, dysarthria, orofacial myofunctional disorder and stuttering. Erin in both pediatrics and adults patients and is available for visits in our outpatient clinic or through teletherapy.

Amanda has experience working in a school where a majority of students have a bilingual (English-Spanish) background.. She has experience in a clinic setting, assisted living, and home health. Amanda specializes in articulation and speech sound disorders, social language, expressive and receptive language, fluency, Deaf and hard of hearing, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), dementia, cognitive deficits, Autism Spectrum Disorder, aphasia, and feeding and swallowing disorders. Amanda graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders from Augustana College. She was on the College Dean’s List for 10 trimesters. While at Western Illinois University, she conducted statistical analyses on language samples of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and language impairment compared to typically developing children and presented at the ASHA National Convention.

Lorena Orizaba

Lorena has experience working in the areas of aural rehabilitation for adults and children with hearing aids and cochlear implants, English-Spanish bilingual children in a school setting, articulation disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, feeding and swallowing disorders, and speech and language disorders. Lorena graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders and a minor in Deafness Rehabilitation. She was a research assistant studying the effects of art programs in the quality of life of patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Lorena completed a Honors Capstone Project related to the vocabulary development of English-Spanish bilingual children with autism spectrum disorder and language delays. She graduated with a Master of Science in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from Elmhurst College. Lorena is fluent in Spanish and conversant in American Sign Language (ASL) and French.

Ed’s passion to work with adults, toddlers, infants, and children with special needs started when his son lost his hearing at an early age. His son is now older, has bilateral cochlear implants, and is an outstanding baseball player thriving in every aspect of life. Ed has completed research on traumatic brain injury, pediatric feeding and swallowing (dysphagia), and stuttering. Ed is a published author in the book “Stuttering Meets Stereotype, Stigma, and Discrimination: An Overview of Attitude Research.” Ed has extensive experience in pre-kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high schools , life-skills, deaf and hard of hearing, Early Interventions (birth – 3 years old), home health, hospitals, and private patients. He has worked with pediatric patients with Down syndrome, traumatic brain injury, Deaf and hard of hearing, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and complex neurological disorders. Ed works with adults in the areas of post-stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, and trach/vent.

Anne has a tremendous amount of experience with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Aphasia, Apraxia of Speech, Dysfluency, Phonological Disorders, Articulation Disorders, Developmental Disorders, social language disorders, aphasia, learning disabilities and speech disfluency.

Rose enjoys treating pediatric and adult patients of all ages. She has worked in outpatient clinical settings for almost 24 years and has taken a variety of continuing education classes making her a well rounded orthopedic outpatient specialist. Rose enjoys spending time with her family and friends when she is not at work. Rose believes that in order to deliver excellent care, a focus needs to be placed on a team approach between the patient, doctor and physical therapist. She believes each patient deserves education about their condition, one-on-one care, a personalized home therapy program and flexible appointment scheduling to work around the patients’ schedules – not ours.

Noelle Van Linden

Noelle has experience working with both children and adults with many types and severity levels of speech and language disorders. Noelle has deep experience with articulation, speech sound, aphasia and varying voice disorders. Noelle received her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona. During this time, she worked as a research assistant for a research lab studying treatment methods for late talking toddlers and lead a project studying the effects of auditory bombardment on spelling. Noelle also worked in a research lab studying the effects of treatment on patients with aphasia. She completed her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Arizona. At this time, she worked in a lab researching the effects of working memory on school-aged children.
